TURKEY TROT
Pick your bird. Back your finish. Watch the feathers fly.
Get on the starting line
The broadcaster opens registration with !tt prep. Be one of the first eight different viewers to type !tt join. You become that turkey's jockey. Your numbered turkey lines up in the bottom-right corner of the stream. When all eight are in, betting opens for five minutes. With fewer jockeys, the broadcaster can use !tt start to fill empty spots with jockey-less turkeys and open betting. Until then, registration stays open. Once betting ends, the race starts automatically.
With !tt preprandom, the broadcaster draws eight different viewers from chatters active in this channel during the last 15 minutes. At least eight are required. Selected viewers are assigned as jockeys without paying an entry fee or automatically placing a bet. Random-entry races keep random results and do not count toward the jockey leaderboard.
Back a turkey
Each ticket costs 6–66 regular SP. Buy multiple tickets on different turkeys or combinations, with no per-race ticket limit beyond your available balance. BSP cannot be used. You do not need to own a turkey to bet.
| Bet | Your pick must… | Example · 20 SP |
|---|---|---|
| Win | Finish first | !tt bet 3 20 win |
| Place | Finish first or second | !tt bet 3 20 place |
| Show | Finish in the top three | !tt bet 3 20 show |
| Exacta | Finish first and second in this order | !tt bet 3-7 20 exacta |
| Trifecta | Finish first, second and third in this order | !tt bet 3-7-2 20 trifecta |
!turkeytrot is the full alias for every !tt command. Exotic tickets are straight ordered bets; each combination uses different numbers from 1–8. Accepted tickets are final. SP is deducted immediately. Bets must reach the server before the countdown expires.
House-funded fixed payouts
Every winning ticket pays its listed total return, even if you are the only bettor: Win 6×, Place 3×, Show 2×, Exacta 40×, Trifecta 200×. These totals include your original stake. A winning 20-SP ticket pays 120 SP for Win, 60 SP for Place, 40 SP for Show, 800 SP for Exacta or 4,000 SP for Trifecta.
The house funds payouts. Other wagers and house purse top-ups do not change your rate. Losing tickets lose their stake, even when nobody backed the winner. Only cancelled races refund accepted tickets. The displayed race purse remains all player wagers plus house top-ups and determines jockey bonuses separately. Races created before this update retain their saved pari-mutuel rules and remain labeled in history.
Two minutes of feathered chaos
Betting closes automatically and the turkeys race around the edge of the fullscreen stream. Watch for lead changes, bursts, fatigue and a final sprint. Everyone finishes in approximately two minutes.
Use !tt boost 3 to boost turkey #3 for free, or !tt boost to boost your own turkey. A turkey gets a three-second burst followed by five seconds of fatigue. In new prep races, jockeys can boost their own turkey once every 10 seconds; spectator boosts keep a 15-second cooldown and cannot block a jockey's own boost. Boosting closes after 90 seconds for the final stretch.
In prep races, a jockey boosting their own turkey can change every finishing position, including Win, Place and Show. Each jockey has a hidden optimal boost count, randomly chosen from 3–6 at the start of the race. Boosting up to that target helps; falling short still earns a smaller benefit, while going over is penalized more heavily. All targets offer the same maximum benefit. Your exact target is revealed only after the race ends, with your actual count and an optimal / under / over review. Random performance still matters, so optimal boosting does not guarantee a win. Unclaimed turkeys run on random performance alone without a jockey boost modifier, and never earn jockey records. Other viewers' boosts, including a jockey boosting another turkey, only animate the action and never change results. Random-entry races keep random results. The finishing order locks after 90 seconds, before the final stretch. Older races retain their original rules.
Free entry and jockey purses
Joining with !tt join is free; no bet is required. In new !tt prep races, the first-, second- and third-place jockeys receive house-funded bonuses of 13.3%, 6.6% and 3.3% of the total purse (all SP wagered across the five pools plus house top-ups), respectively. These are regular, spendable SP, rounded down to whole SP, paid separately from betting payouts. Unclaimed turkeys receive no bonus and their share is not redistributed. Cancelled races and !tt preprandom pay no jockey purse bonuses. Broadcaster-only !tt addpurse X adds a positive whole-SP house top-up during registration or betting. It increases the purse used for jockey bonuses, leaves betting pools unchanged and never charges the broadcaster. The overlay shows the total purse in the upper-left corner as wagers and house top-ups arrive.
Jockey records
The jockey leaderboard ranks jockeys by wins, then second-place and third-place finishes. Only completed !tt prep races under the jockey rules count; random-entry, cancelled and older races are excluded. Win / Place / Show records mean first / second / third finishes counted separately.
Results and broadcaster controls
Final results and SP settlement are saved under a unique game number. The bot posts the final result and history link in chat. Results remain on the transparent OBS source until the streamer hides it, closes it, or uses !tt close to clear it.
!tt status checks the game. !tt history returns the race history link with results from both prep and preprandom races. Broadcaster-only: !tt prep, !tt preprandom, !tt start, !tt addpurse X, !tt cancel and !tt close. Cancelling during preparation or betting refunds all tickets. A race already underway runs to settlement. OBS refreshes resume the same race and saved results.
