AI Kills is a heavy metal project forged in Seattle, blending authored myth, machine-driven performance, and unapologetically dramatic live energy.
The band merges cutting-edge artificial intelligence with the force of classic and modern metal. The result is a set of songs and performances that feel theatrical, aggressive, and alive.
Stories are rooted in original writing by published author Todd Russell, giving the project a human core inside all of that machine-powered chaos.
This is not tribute-metal and it is not novelty. It is a performance engine built for riffs, spectacle, and moments that do not happen the same way twice.

Stillbirth recording sessions - story-wise goes between Track 11 "Chapter 11 Bankrupt Lives" and Track 12 "Clock Strikes Twelve. Originally recorded June 2, 2025.

Mystery City
Mystery City leaves behind disappearing street maps that only update when the band changes a lyric, making songs part of the city's physical architecture. Related: Mystery City is the location of main character Shrell's home -- a golden underwater paradise -- in the AI Kills album Stillbirth (2025). This is a parallel world vision of another possible Mystery City. The song "Mystery City [BONUS TRACK]" was originally provided as a bonus track when purchasing the album at Bandcamp. When Bandcamp removed all AI Kills music at the end of January 2026, the song became unreleased again for a time, creating yet more mystery around the track.

Your city gets abducted for one night. The Needle becomes a docking spire, the streets below glow alien green, and the band plays from a hull hanging over downtown like it owns the airspace — because tonight it does.

The year-end closer. A beach lined end to end with a thousand bonfires, riding the Geminids — the year's best meteor shower, peaking around Dec 14 with 120+ shooting stars an hour on a dark night.
Thousands huddled around fire, falling stars overhead, salt air and woodsmoke, and AI Kills sending off the year from the sand. Space spectacle and human warmth in one frame — the loudest, warmest goodbye the year's going to get.
