What This Class Does

Military is the combat class. Every voyage, songs summon exotic creatures from the deep — Military is who steps up to fight them for salvage. Later on, Military also gets its own crafting side: stripping sunken wrecks for parts and assembling them into real, temporary upgrades for the sub and yourself.

Basic Actions
!sub hunt [#]
Fight a roaming creature. Win and it's harvested for salvage, plus it counts toward your Military rank. Lose and you just lose the cost of the attempt — nothing worse.
!sub scan [#]
Study a creature before committing to a fight, so you know roughly what you're getting into.
!sub weaponsmith [node#] / !sub armorsmith [node#]
Military-only. Strip a sunken wreck for weapon or armor parts. Bank enough of one type and assemble it into a real weapon or armor piece for the voyage.
Leveling Up

You rank up in Military mainly by hunting — it's the fastest way to earn credit toward your Military track. A higher rank makes you a better fighter and raises the ceiling on which rarity of fish you're allowed to slot (see below).

Slotting a Fish

Every class has its own "class slot" for a fish that matches that class's specialty. Once you've ranked up enough to unlock it, slot a Military-flavored fish with !sub slot military <fish> — it earns bonus XP alongside your own hunting, and leveling it up unlocks small permanent perks you spend on your own Military spec tree with !sub spec military.
