Lyrics Poker
A new, original game — AI Kills Band vs. You
Lyrics Poker is an original game where song lyrics are converted into a 5-card poker hand. The same lyrics always generate the same hand — every song has a fingerprint. You play against the house hand in two ways: one-on-one on the website against an AI Kills Band member of your choice, or live in Twitch chat alongside every other viewer during a stream.
Website Version — One-on-One
Play directly at aikillsband.com/games/lyrics-poker. Pick your dealer from the AI Kills Band members, then go head-to-head against the house.
- 1Log in and link your Twitch account on your profile page to get your sawpoints balance.
- 2Choose your dealer — pick an AI Kills Band member from the right-hand panel. Each dealer faces you one-on-one.
- 3Place your bet — wager between 1 and 50 sawpoints using the slider or quick-bet buttons, then click Deal Me In.
- 4The computer draws its 5-card hand from a randomly chosen AI Kills song's lyrics hash. You're dealt your own 5 cards.
- 5Discard cards to draw replacements — click any of your 5 cards to mark them for discard, then draw once. Lock in your final hand.
- 6The house plays its hand. Beat the dealer to win your bet back plus a bonus based on your hand rank. Lose and you forfeit your wager.

Live Chat Version — Twitch Stream
During a live stream the host manually sets up each game round using lyrics from any song that has lyrics — not limited to AI Kills catalog. Everyone in chat can join, place a bet, and swap cards once before the round closes.
Host Flow
- In the admin panel, fill in the song title, artist, play link, and paste the lyrics to generate the hand card.
- Start the game in chat:
!lpoker newgame
(alias: !lpoker startgame)
- Players bet and optionally swap cards while the song plays.
- When the song ends, close the round:
!lpoker endgame
Winners are awarded sawpoints silently, results post to the live-results page.
Player Flow
- Join the round with a wager (1–50 SP) — the bot deals your 5-card hand in chat:
!lpoker bet 50
- Optionally discard any combination of your cards once before the game ends. Use left-to-right positions (1 = leftmost card):
!lpoker discard 2,4,5
Any additional discard attempts are silently ignored.
- The bot responds with your redrawn, finalized ranked hand — it waits there until endgame comparison.
- At endgame, all hands are compared to the house and sawpoints are awarded automatically.
