New "Game Warden": if an account goes a full year with zero gameplay, its rarest fish auto-sell back for full SawPoints instead of just sitting untouched — any activity resets the clock, and you'll see a warning well before it happens.
The freeze that locks a grown-into-rarity fish out of the Auction House now lifts automatically once every copy has been sold back, instead of staying locked forever.

Closed a gap that let a common fish leveled up to Rare/Legendary/Mythic dodge the Auction House's usual 1-of-1 exclusivity rule.

Attaching a creature as a component now pays XP scaled to its rarity instead of a flat amount, and unattached hunted creatures can now also restock the Auction House.
v1.0.259

Reacting to or rating a song now has a chance to earn a random Aquarium fish bonus XP — and the whole leveling curve was retuned so that bonus is a genuine accelerant instead of trivializing the grind.
Retuned the fish leveling curve so a fish takes roughly a year to hit level 100 on the best food and a perfect feed streak, with rank-based bonuses to speed things up.
Fish Catalog entries can now be tied to a voyage theme, so a theme's fish feel more common and coherent during that themed voyage.

The Auction House now uses true proxy bidding — enter your real max privately, and you'll only ever pay just above the next-highest bid, never your full ceiling.
Earning VIP-style treatment on stream (skip-line redeem, a sub, gifting subs, or a big bits cheer) now automatically promotes your submitted song on Thursawday.
v1.0.238

The Auction House's My Bids page now splits your active bids from your full bid history, and the countdown timer only shows seconds once a listing is really close to closing.
